Mark your calendars and join the conversation! Please join us for a webinar where practitioners will be sharing their experiences of successful early literacy programs. This discussion will help us to determine best practices and develop a blueprint for supporting parents in early literacy through libraries.
Thursday, December 13
10:00am - 11:00am (MST)
No registration required
We are seeking input from libraries and organizations that serve children ages 0-3 and their parents as part of the SPELL Project. Please include your experiences in our online survey.
As part of the SPELL Project, the Colorado State Library is currently researching best practices in reaching low-income parents of children birth through three with early literacy awareness and training.
We would love to learn from you about examples of practices, programs and partnerships with other agencies that you've found to be successful (or not successful) in engaging and supporting parents in their role in building early literacy.
While low-income families are the focus of our project, we are interested in hearing about efforts in many types of communities. Also, if you were able to do any evaluations or program assessments and you are able to share your data with us, we would be very grateful. Please send your examples, comments, and data to SPELLprojectCSL@gmail.com.
We invite you to please complete this survey and share your program experiences by Wednesday, December 5, 2012.
